Happy Trails

I will try and remember these happy faces and how much I LOVE them tomorrow. The three girls and I are flying to visit my parents. Hopefully we have some pretty patient people sitting by us. Maybe I will bring this picture along and say that they really are normally like this.

If I have computer access, I will post our adventures from a far. If not, we will be back around the beginning of August.

"Panning for Gold"

We were in need of a nice drive so we visited a former gold rush town. It seemed to still be a bit ghostly, but the ice cream parlor was great.

A Trip to the Discovery Center

Since we know we are going to stay put for a while, we decided to buy a membership to the local Discovery Center. I couldn't tell who had more fun the kids or the parents. It was really cool.

Emie testing how different items catch wind.

Micah using her body strength to hoist herself up.

The bubbles were the girls favorite spot.

This was a fun area and it was great to see the girls playing "make believe."

It was definitely worth getting a pass. We will be back.

The 4th

We enjoyed the Fourth. Jeremy had to attend a Screening for work during the day so, we just celebrated in the evening. We had a BBQ with some new neighbors and the guys did fireworks in the cul-de-sac.

Emie was happy especially since our neighbors have a little one her age.

These pictures below make me laugh because, it totally shows my girls personalities.

Micah is very cautious with EVERYTHING. She does NOT like fireworks, she can not handle the noise.
Sloane is very unaware of any danger. She has no fear and is easily distracted. Don't worry she was not hurt by the sparkler.
Emie is always happy and holidays are no exception. We hope everyone had a wonderful time celebrating too.

Moving Is Exhausting

We have finally completely moved. Sunday we finished cleaning out the other place. It feels real good to be in one spot and have our family routine again. We have finished adding curb appeal to the front yard, washed the exterior of the house, and put up all the kids toys, slides, etc in the back yard. I have decorated a few areas, but not all. It will take a while for that. Here is the front entry.

Here is a view of our kitchen. Yep, there are dishes in my sink and stuff on my counters, because that is how it always looks. I can never keep everything perfect.

Window treatments or not?? I haven't decided yet.

The kids had a rough week, but it was only a week. Now we can enjoy life as it continues on.

All Art is Beautiful

While Jeremy and I pack up, the girls fend for themselves a bit.
(Yes, we do use diaper boxes to pack up. Since my oldest was only 2 1/2 when baby number 3 came, I had 3 kids in diapers at one time and acquired quite a collection. I must say these boxes are lasting. Lasted longer than our computer boxes, but I digress.)

Emerson has no problems helping herself to whatever she wants. Today it was crayons. These are dangerous in her hands, of course.

Apparently she is not the only one with dangerous hands. I know she did not do this!
