Pack It Up

I have been so busy packing up, and so stressed waiting to hear about interviews, that I have neglected blogging. I think things are little bit more organized and so I have took some time to put up a few posts. Enjoy!

A Campout in Grandpa's Backyard

Jeremy's parents have a fire pit in their backyard. I have had many wonderful dutch oven meals from that fire pit. YUMMY!

The girls were asking to make s'mores.

And to "camp out" with Daddy. Look closely and you can see the tent in the background. We decided it would be fun. I would sleep inside, of course. I can not believe that it is summer and it is still freezing cold.

This is why you do not touch the grass after eating your sticky roasted marshmellow.
I am glad we did it, the girls had a ball!

Happy Birthday to Me

I had a birthday! My loving family took me out for lunch.

Cute Sloanie and Jeremy.

Emie and her cheesy grin.

Micah and Me.
My gift. It's a necklace, Jeremy is the jewelry king.
Peruvian Lilies from my parents.
Birthdays definitely are not the highlight they once were. Spending time with my family is. So, it was wonderful.

Experiment

My girls are sweet 'n' all during the day, but at night the Mommy patience wears off and I need a break. Lately for some reason I wake up with TWO little one's in my bed. I have a king size bed, but with two extra people, although they are small, sandwiched between us, it feels twin-ish.

Enough is enough! I want to have peaceful sleep through the night. I am tired of hands flopping on my head and little feet kicking my back. So I am trying something new.

I will give the girls each morning two nickels if they stay in their beds. If they come in and need a reminder they only get one. When they have a dollar, it is theirs to spend.

Tonight is night one. I am really hoping it works. Has anyone else had this problem? What did you do?

Micah listened really well, I could tell she was excited to get her nickels. Sloane marches to her own beat and was pretty much pretending not to listen. I know that Micah will have to get her first dollar to get the ball rolling for Sloanie.

Wish me luck!
