TTYL

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who acredited (is that the right word?) me with getting them started on their blogs. It is a great feat considering I can not even talk my two year old into going pee-pee on the potty. I am off this weekend to Utah for J's family reunion and to see my mom and sisters who will also be flying in. This is my third weekend out of town this month, eventually I will attend my new ward. Maybe even get a calling. I will probably have computer withdrawals, but such is life. Don't blog anything too cute or funny without me!

Way Back Wednesday

This is a picture of Sloane when she was three months old. She was always smiling. I just loved that she had so much dark hair. I wish I could snuggle that little baby just one more time.

Jon-ju-wee

My three year old speaks really well. However every once and a while she says something that for the life of me I can not understand. Today was one of those times.
Micah,"Sloane's freen Jon-ju-wee."
My understanding, "Sloane's friend Jon-ju-wee."
I say, "Where did Sloane meet this friend, the pool, at church, at the park, etc."
Micah, "No, no, no!"
I know she is getting frustrated. I just say okay and remind her of her favorite puzzle. My distraction works and a meltdown is avoided.
Later in the day, Micah and I are looking through some pictures. We see a picture of some friends. They are standing in front of a Christmas tree.
Micah, "Christmas is in December."
I say, "That's right, what else is in December?"
Micah,"My birthday, I am four in December and Sloane's freen Jon-ju-wee."
There it is again. Only this time I laugh to myself. I know exactly what she is saying.
Translation...my birthday, I am four in December and Sloane's three in January! I confirm that I understand and she gives me the biggest smile ever.

Cute Little Jibbitz

Something we love right now is jibbitz for crocs. I always thought crocs were ugly. Everyone kept telling me how comforable they were. Last summer I finally broke down and let my mom give the girls a pair. It was instant love. They are light, the girls can put them on themselves, and they wash up in a soapy bath. What more could one ask for in a kid shoe. I am still not keen on a pair for myself. I ended up buying knock offs this summer. (just as good in my opinion) We love the jibbitz that snap on them. I let the girls each pick one out when we see them at the mall. It is one of their favorite treats.

Yum yum!

I am craving El Fenix. I love that restaurant and don't know how I will live without it. They have the best tortilla chips in the whole world. I found out that I can order them via the internet. I wonder if they taste the same without the great atmosphere and fabulous friends to go with them. Probably not!

Rub-a-Dub-dub

After reviewing pictures I am confused myself who Emerson resembles most. Let's just say she looks a little like both and leave the debate at that!

Way Back Wednesday

This photo takes me back to precious time before all I heard was no-no's and I don't want to's. I sometimes long for those times. A lot of people tell me that Emie looks like Sloanie. After looking at this picture I am more convinced she is the spitting image of Micah. I will try to post a pic of Emie tomorrow so you can judge for yourself.

Queen of Her Own Castle

Sloane loves to play with blocks, legos, and puzzles. In this picture she is building a "castle." They are always "castles" or "towers." We are amazed by the patterns in style and color that she always arranges together. She enjoys what she does, and isn't that what being a kid is all about!

I Think I Have Buyers Remorse

I went to the mall for the first time in a while and Gymboree was having their semi annual sale. Well most of the stores were having sales. I am addicted to buying kids clothes. I spent probably more than I needed to, considering my kids still have clothes in their closets with tags still on them. Brittany they are doing gym bucks right now. That means I will probably spend more money I don't have later.

Happy Father's Day!

I wanted to let my DAD know how wonderful I think he is. He has always been one of the greatest examples to me. Here are five things he has taught me.

1. The importance the priesthood has in his life.
2. The dedication it takes to be a great parent.
3. How much he values service in the Church.
4. Honesty is the best policy.
5. Never eat or drink after your kids! (haha, family joke)

I love my husband. I am in awe of what an amazing father he is to the girls. I could not have chosen anyone more perfect to love and take care of us. I know by the way their little faces light up every time he walk through the door, my girls feel the same way.

Today was Micah's first primary program. I didn't get to see it. :o( Emerson was sick, so since it was Father's Day I sent Jeremy to church with her. I was afraid she might be too shy to say her part into the mic, but she did it! She was beaming all day so proud of herself. I am so proud of her too!

The Rose Gardens

Well about a stones throw away from the BBQ was a rose garden. It was beautiful! We had to check it out. I love the smell of roses. They remind of my grandparents who have always had wondeful roses in their yard. Here are a few views.

Mormons at a Baptist BBQ

So we went to a Baptist community barbeque, we actually had the best time. There were bounce houses, obstacle courses for the kiddos, all kinds of food, and treats. Everything was free, the only catch, waiting in long lines. Jeremy played with the girls while Emie and I waited in all the lines. No, I normally don't still carry her in the snuggly but she wasn't feeling well and didn't put up too much of a fight.

Maybe a Coincidence

Saw this and thought it was pretty funny!

Welcome to Crazyland

I feel like I live here. In a crazy world where children rule and parents follow.
Sloane has become more grumpy after her naps, than days without them. It seems to be a lose-lose situation. I either don't get a break or I put up with Miss Grumpy Gills for the rest of the afternoon.
Emerson has had a fever now for two days, and yes mom, we have given her a blessing. Here's hoping no more febrile seizures in this household. Sickness includes being held 24/7, so who could imagine the damage done, when there is no one to pick up after everyone.
Micah is actually doing well considering her sisters have been putting up a greater fight for the attention getting the last couple days. So I took her out for ice cream, just the two of us. She seemed quite proud of herself as I told her how big she had been carrying herself lately.

I want to live here. It is just so peaceful. I really need to make a special trip and go soon. (Britt thanks for the pics from your trip.)

I Am Offically Out Numbered

Got up this morning and cleaned really well. Sorted out the toys bins as usual (a little OCD coming through). Left Emerson alone for a minute and she started to dump them out. I could handle two little ones running about with one stationary kid, but three seems to be too much. The world seems made for two kids. I have two hands, there are two places in the shopping cart for kids, things divide easily into two, two matching outfits is cheaper than three, and I think my kids played better when there was just two in the mix. I am so blessed to have three wonderful daughters and I would not trade any of them, but it is just hard to be out numbered sometimes.

Missing Pictures

Okay Mandy this is for you. I posted a blog of "Big Messes" and the pictures did not connect with the server. If any of you want to you can go back, you can read about these pictures, but they pretty much explain themselves. I have had to clean more than my fair share of messes.
