Out and About with Rebecca and Family

On the third day of our trip we visited my good friend Rebecca and her family. L and R were so big. We all went out to dinner. How crazy are we? Five little ones and one on the way, and no husbands I might add. We were a side show for sure. I guess we were just used to all the attention. If you had ever asked me five years ago if I would ever go anywhere ever with five kids at once, I would have looked at you as though you were crazy, but here I was doing it. The kids had so much fun, it was so worth it. I got to see Rebecca and share in her excitement of little S (due really, really soon). The kids have missed hanging out with them nearly everyday of their lives, and so have I. It was so much fun to hang out like old times. We miss them lots.

Visiting with Kisty, Eddie and Kids

While in Texas we went to visit our old ward. It was so much fun to see everyone we hadn't seen in months. Everyones little kiddos seem so grown up. On Monday we went to visit with our friends Kisty and Eddie. They have three little ones our kids ages. The four little girls played together while Kisty and I got to catch up on the past few months. The babies were so much bigger than the last time we were together, and it was fun to see them both sitting up, playing with toys. Micah talked about K all the time when we moved, it was really great to get to see them again.

Staying with Kathy and Family

We went to Texas last week and stayed with our friends. They were kind enough to share their home and food for a whole week. We had the best time and really enjoyed our stay. It was so great to see them again. Kathy and I enjoyed just watching our little offspring play together. The girls had so much fun with S, and everyday was dress up day. Kathy and I also had the chance to catch up with some old friends we had, back when we were in highschool together. It was so much fun and we were really sad when it was time to go. They are such great friends and we will miss them bunches.

Texas Here I Come

We are headed to Texas to visit all our friends before the big move to Boise. I was preparing the girls so that they would get excited to see all their little friends. I told Micah we would go see S, K and L. She said that they all lived in Texas and that we were in Missouri. I told her that we were going to Texas so we could see all of them. I turned to Sloane to tell her the same information, then from behind me I heard Micah say" Yipee Ay A, Texas here I come." I could not help but laugh out loud, she remembers everything she hears.

We Miss You Daddy!

We miss being away from Jeremy, there is only two more weeks left til we get to hug and kiss him!

Corrine's Visit

Corrine came to Missouri to visit for a week. She is getting married in August and we were ready to help her with wedding plans. We put together all of her bouquets, they are quite beautiful if I do say so myself, we did a great job. We also spent the week trying to find bridesmaid dresses that flatter a bunch of girls with very different figures.(hehehe) We suceeded and I think we came to a good compromise. The time went by fast and she left as soon as she came. We miss you Corri!

Someone Found Markers!

It was a quiet afternoon and I decided to go check on my girls because they were napping real well. A little too well, it was exceptionally quiet. When I opened the door, there stood two rainbow children where two clean little girls had once been. Micah immediately said, "Someone found markers!", like she was just an innocent bystander. Micah hates to be dirty so she wasn't as shocking, but apparently she decided to help Sloane decorate her blank skin canvas with permenant colored sharpie markers. I just love being a mom, or so I told myself twenty times in a row just in case I happen to forget it.

Sweet Sloanie

Sweet little Sloane is such a wonderful child. She is always the one with a big smile. She is so curious and always into everything. She always tells everyone she loves them. She plays well by herself and well with others. Everyone wants to be Sloane's friend and she wants to be friends with everyone. She is smart, picks up on songs really fast, and loves to sing. Everytime she gets in trouble she always looks up at me with those big eyes and says "mama I wub you." She brings me alot of joy.

Miss Micah

Little miss Micah is getting so big. She always gives Emerson toys and kisses to keep her happy. She always fetches things for mom like diapers and wipes. She always makes sure Sloane never gets left out and that everything is even and fair between them. I am greatful for such a big helper. She is aware of the situation with Jeremy in Idaho and us here in Missouri. On the phone the other night she said "Daddy you lost us..." I know she misses him alot. Micah always makes me smile, she is such a precious blessing in my life.

Bathtime for Emerson

Well bathtime used to be a chore for Emie. She did not like anything about it. She would scream and she would cry, until she was dressed. Now she loves the bath. She sits up really well and plays with the bathtime toys. She like to splash and play with the bubbles. She even tolerates taking a bath with her loud and pushy big sisters. It is just one of the many ways she has grown up bit by bit.

My Big Girl Emie

What a big girl Emie is becoming. She has seven teeth and bites with all of them (I found out the hard way). She gets up on all fours ready to crawl, but still no advancing once up. She says dada all the time. I am working on mama but she is not cooperating the way the other girls did. She definately has developed a mind of her own. She loves to eat and watches closely whenever someone else has food. She has no fear of animals, Mimi's dog is all over her every time she is on the floor. At times I am ready for all my little ones to be self sufficient, but it does make me sad that they grow so fast. If anyone knows how to freeze time, if only for a second, let me know.

Three Part Harmony

Just when I think these little ones could not possibly be any sweeter, I snuck up behind to hear them playing their own "three part harmony" on the piano. After one played a few "measures" they would tell the next one to go, so on and so forth. I am so grateful that my girls have cousins their age to play, have fun with, and create wonderful memories they will cherish for a life time. What greater memories do people have than their childhood ones.

Playing Around

Whenever we are at Mimi's house, all the cousins love to play together. This picture is a bit old, but it shows how much fun it is when we all get along. The kids love playing with Josh and he is so good with them. It is only a matter of time until we leave Missouri, we are going to miss being around cousins so much.

Imitation is the Best Form of Flattery

People always say kids observe everything they see. Today I was looking for the kids and I heard Ryann say"... be still this won't hurt...", so I snuck up to see what they were doing. I saw the girls lying on the piano bench like an adjusting table, and Ryann giving them "adjustments." It was funny to see her mimic the way Jeremy talks to the kids when he adjusts them. It reminds me how careful we must be when raising children, not only do they see us, but they remember everything we do.

Easter is finally here

On Saturday we were invited to the Alkire's home to attend an Easter egg hunt. We spent all morning stuffing eggs. The girls were really excited. When we got there the front and backyard were covered with colorful eggs as far as the eye could see. I thought the girls were still young enough that they would need help from me to find most of the eggs. As soon as it started they were off filling their baskets all by themselves. I was able to sit back, enjoy watching them, and take lots of pictures.


We woke up at Mimi's house on Easter morning and got our Easter baskets. After we played a little, we went to Brittany's house to eat breakfast, and get ready for church. These were their cute Easter dresses. This was Emerson's very first Easter and she looked adorable. We are grateful for our Savior and his atoning sacrifice on our behalf. We are grateful that we think of him and remember all he has done for us. We miss our Daddy and hope to see him soon.

Living in Missouri

We have been living with Mimi for the past couple weeks. The girls are so spoiled. They get to play with Mimi and Papa everyday. They also get to play with cousins all the time. There is always something to do in Missouri, we stay really busy. We are always on the
go. We have made good friends and get to see our relatives. Soon we will be moving to Idaho. We will once again get to start over and add more friends to our list. We will be a couple hours away from more family, and we look forward to spending time with them too.

A New First

The weather was so nice, this past week, we spent a lot of time outside. Now that Emerson can sit up I decided she could play in grass with the other girls. She absolutely loved it. She just kept kicking her feet to feel it's softness between her toes. She loved picking the grass. The only problem is, whatever is in her hands is also in her mouth. I guess it didn't taste to bad since she kept finding a way to get it to her mouth. The great mom I am, I decided it would be okay for her to swallow a little bit so I could get a cute picture. No harm done, she is still the cutest baby around. Couldn't you just kiss those cheeks.

A night at the circus

We went the the circus sponsored by the Ronald Mcdonald House Charities at the Shriner's Mosque. My little Dora the Explorer lovers wore their favorite shirts. We met Brittany, Brandon and Seiler there and found seats all the way at the top of the stadium seating. We were disheartened to sit so far away at first, but we could see everything really well. It was so hot and so high up we got a little breeze. Micah's favorite part of the show was the Elephants, she was captivated by their exciting performance. Sloane's favorite part of the experience was the cotton candy. I was holding it in my hand and everytime I looked over at her, she had helped herself to a new handful. She just shoved it into her mouth as she always does when she is eating something she really likes. Micah, of course, liked the cotton candy as well, but she hates to be sticky. We had so much fun, it ran late but I think the girls didn't mind being past bedtime too much.

Visiting the Easter Bunny

We got the girls all dressed up to go see the Easter Bunny. They looked so cute and seemed really excited to go. Once we got there Sloane went right up and gave him five. Emerson sat on his lap and kept giving him "who are you" looks. Oh Micah, she did not want anything to do with that bunny. I had to be in the picture. It was the bunny, Sloane next to the bunny, I was next to Sloane, and Micah sat on my knee furthest away from that scary rabbit. She has been afraid of the Easter Bunny and Santa since she was 11 months old. Poor kid, maybe next year she will be more secure with those "big moving scary things", her quote not mine.

Turning a New Leaf

Well I have decided to create a way for family and friends to know what is going on with us on a regular basis. I am not so great at calling everyone all the time and things are always changing. I will try to post regular updates so you can see just what this family is up to. Hopefully we can update enough to keep your interest.
