If Nothing Else She Is Determined

Every day, many times a day I find this...

OR

I finally found a good time out for all these "tools" that can give my little one easier access.

But, she won't give up that easily.
If nothing else she is a very determined little girl, who will not give up on the things she wants most.
I guess that really isn't a bad quality.

My Favorite Halloween Costumes Ever!

I fell in love with this lady bug outfit. I knew it would be perfect for my first child's first Halloween. Isn't she cute?

For M's second Halloween we traveled to Missouri and spent it with cousins.

Here she is our little fairy. She wore this dress everyday for a week, I even let her wear it to church. She already knew what she wanted to wear even at 1 and a 1/2.

The best thing about hand me downs...getting to use a favorite outfit or costume again. Here is S's first Halloween. This year I added the adorable antennas. My girls had issues with looking at the camera for some reason.
My super cute niece was JoJo the Circus Clown. Cutest ever if I do say so myself.
My sweet little nephew was JoJo's sidekick Goliath.

E was a chili pepper for her first Halloween. We lived in Kansas and it was cold and windy. The good thing about her costume was it was really warm. The bad thing, it was really hard to carry her around in it.

M was a princess.
S wanted to do everything M did back then. I think they make the sweetest princesses. I am glad we have all these pictures. It is really fun to see how much the girls have grown.

Halloween Past

Since I had already scanned these pictures into my laptop, I decided to go ahead and post them. I am so grateful for a mom who took a lot of pictures. We have so many from our childhood. She did a really great job documenting all of our important events as well as the everyday ones. My girls love to look through all my childhood pictures. S still thinks every baby picture, whether it be hers, M's, or mine, is of E.

Maybe this is where my love of things sweet started. My mom says no matter how far back she moved me, I always found my way to the candy bowl.

I loved all things Strawberry Shortcake. I am so glad she is popular again. I get to play Strawberry Shortcake and My Little Pony with my girls whenever they want. Of course the toys now are so much cooler now then they were back then.

Do you remember these plastic costumes.? I couldn't find the picture where we are wearing the sharp edged plastic masks. I think they would be recalled now days. I am Wonder Woman and my sister Brittany is Ernie from Sesame Street. The other kiddos are our best friends, they seem to be in most of my childhood pictures.

My favorite Halloween costume was a witch. I think I was a witch the most. I am a witch every year now that I am older. Some may say it suits me just fine. But, I hope not!

Halloween Blues

Of course I have to get sick during a holiday. Today is actually the first day I have been able to stand up with out having a major head spin. I guess I just feel bad for my girls. M had to miss her preschool Halloween activity today. S has been looking forward to being Spiderman for a long time now. Everyday when it starts getting dark they ask me if today is trick-o-treat day. Now I may not be able to go with them. I am hoping Jeremy can take them to the ward activity tonight. Hopefully I will feel better soon so I can blog their Halloween pictures, if they go.

Long Time No Bloggity Bloggin'

So it has been a while since I posted. I have just been busy doing other things. These things include....sorting a bucket of stickers out of the 20lb bag of cat food, taking toys out of the toilet, looking through tons of house listings and trying to narrow it down, and my favorite continuously vacuuming smashed crackers, cereal bars, and cookies in my carpet.

It has just been an exhausting week as I have been trying to get back into the habit of working out and keeping things clean and organized around here. A Fun Day Riding Horses

While in Missouri, Josh wanted to take the girls to ride Danielle horse. The girls loved watching all the horses, they loved riding Neiko, but most of all just haning out with Dani and Josh.

Something to Cheer me Up

I haven't felt like blogging much. I just feel overwhelmed with things going on. So, when I was browsing my favorite blogs (see side bar) I found a fun little meme that I thought could help me out of this blogging funk. Tori at My life... did this little meme when she was feeling down. The original has to do with making out with fictional characters. I just revised it to movie characters I could kiss. I don't think Jeremy would appreciate the whole make out thing!

1. This first one is James Barrie from Finding Neverland, he is not fictional but I could just kiss him for creating one of my favorite stories of all time.

2. Of course Indiana Jones, he is the most adventurous man I have ever laid eyes on.

3. The master of disguises, Simon Templar, he can turn himself into the Saint of your choice. He is very daring and that is very appealing.
4. Who wouldn't want to meet someone over the long, HOT, summer. Especially if he could teach you to dance! This is why I would want to kiss Johnny Castle from Dirty Dancing.
5. Oh, baby I love me some James Bond. When I first got married my husband made me watch every one. I was hooked with the first one. Although Sean Connery and Daniel Craig are my favorite. He is just the smoothest ever and after Casino Royale we see he is capable of love.

6. One my favorites is Noah from The Notebook. OOOWEE, wasn't he just the biggest sweet heart. When I found out he was taking care of his true love still after all these years, my heart melted.

7. If you are ever in a pinch on a speeding bus, you definitely need Jack Traven. I am sure deep down I just feel in love with Keanu's arms.
8. I love the movie Anna and the King. Chow Yun-Fat and Jodie Foster are a couple of my favorite actors. Well, this is about the characters so my number 8 is a king. Who would not want to adored by the King of Siam.
9. I don't think there is any woman who wouldn't be in love with a man who has to die to keep his family honorable. I really like everything about Jack Sommersby. Most of all I loved how much he loved his "wife."

10. My last but definitely not least in any way is our lovable Mr. Darcy. Strong but silent is very intriguing. He is one of my all time favorites. I think I would have to stand in a long, long line to kiss this man. He is loved by many. I really need to start taking kickboxing so I would have an advantage in the line.

So these are the ten I chose. It really did work! I enjoyed blogging this post.

Blogging Blahs

I think they have been going around. I am just not in the mood to think about things going on right now it just overwhelms me. We are thinking of buying a new house. All the details of looking are just too much for me to think about.

DO we want to build or is buying an existing new house a better buy with the house market saturated with them?

DO we want a 3000 sq ft home and do I really want to clean that much house daily? DO we just want to buy something that suits our family of 5.

WHAT if we decide to have another baby? We don't want to go too small where we will feel crowded. DO we want to go smaller and then turn around and move again in a few years?

It is just too much. So this is why I haven' t felt like blogging much even though I have a ton of stuff from my trip. Even a making a small slide show feels daunting. Hopefully I will feel a little bit better tomorrow.

This is the Extent of My Holiday Baking

We decided for our family home evening treat we would decorate sugar cookies. M was only too excited to help.

After I showed her how to use a cookie cutter, she did pretty well on her own. She has a natural baking talent...something I do NOT have.

I made a couple different Halloween colored frostings. I think black was a BIG mistake. I should have known it would stain.

The girls decorated spider cookies. I bought this cutter to feed into S's new obsession. Pretty good for a two year old and three year old, eh?

Here is my creative attempt. Oh well. They tasted fantastic though if I do say so my self.

Thanks Honey!

My Baby is Going to Preschool

We are starting a little later than everyone else due to our month long vacation in September. Luckily our co-op preschool waited for us to get home to get started.

When I told M to get ready to have her picture taken, she started posing on cue.

Work it girl!

After she was all dressed, I gave her the backpack. She asked,"Okay, where do I go to wait for the bus?" Sorry toots no bus this year, our mini van will have to do.

When Life Hands You Corn.....

...Make a Corn Maze.

We had a fun time at the one by our home. My only advice to others GET A MAP before entering the maze.

E loved the corn box. If it would never rot, it would be an excellent alternative to sand. Not so messy.

M and S loved the barrel ride. It kept going up and down, up and down etc.

We came with jackets. We stepped out of our car and it was so cold we went home to get winter coats and gloves. I am so not used to cold weather in the beginning of October.

The girls had a really good time. The smiles on their faces makes any outing worth while. (No matter how cold it is!)

The Ultimate Gift

When Jeremy Graduated from Chiropractic College, the president of his school gave everyone a book. It was titled, The Ultimate Gift. We packed it up and haven't thought about it since. Well on a couple recommendations we decided to watch the movie.

It is a really good clean flick and so I am recommending it here on this blog. It was predictable but very enjoyable. I can't wait to find the book, because it will be on my must read list.
