Memorial Day

This was the first year we took our daughters to place flowers on graves. Jeremy had been wanting to visit his family gravesites so we decided what a better day than Memorial Day. We visited three different ones. We drove to Logan and Newton, Utah for the G family side and then up to Preston, Idaho for the J side. Jeremy and I wanted to share with the girls a tradition we both partook in as kids. We spent the day hearing fun stories, learning a little history and geneology, enjoying the company of family, and enjoying the beautiful weather outside. I think the girls had a wonderful time.

Visiting Jeremy's Grandparents

On our way down to Roy, UT to visit Jeremy's family for Memorial Day weekend, we stopped by and visited his grandparents. It was so great to hear Grandpa G say he was feeling better than he had in a long time. We spent time visiting and enjoying the relaxing afternoon. The girls really loved the swings and had a fun time playing with their Great Grandma. We sure do miss family when we are away.

Time Marches On

Well it seems as though Emerson is getting too big for her infant carrier. It is time to get rid of the old thing, it has barely survived three babies. I have also just packed away all clothes for nine months and smaller. I wanted to get rid of them but I just couldn't do it, so I folded them, boxed them up, and put them in storage. A part of me is really sad, no more infants. We have had nothing but babies for the past three and a half years.
The bigger part of me is really happy. My kids are growing really healthy and strong and it will be nice to have some time for myself. I look forward to all three walking to the car by themselves, and all I will have to do is carry the bags! Now that Emie is scooting around she really enjoys attention from the older girls and "sharing" their toys. The girls are having a little bit more fun with her too. She enjoys eating herself and it is really cute to watch her carefully pick up food. Only a couple short months left until she turns one. I think I will at least let her keep her bottle until then.

Super Sunbeam

The primary sent home a request for the Sunbeams today. They are supposed to complete a sentence for the Father's Day program in Church. Micah had the sweetest answer of all the kids. The sentence is, "I'm so glad when daddy comes home because we..._________." A lot of kids would answer play games, throw the ball, eat dinner, etc. Micah said, "because we make a family." She didn't even hesitate when she answered. I just hope that we can get her to say it on the stand. We will just have to wait and see.

Things can change and still stay the same

I can't help but love the pictures of Daddys and their little girls. I guess because I love pictures of my Dad holding me and my sisters. My favorite time of night is after bathtime, it is the sweet moments spent holding clean little girls and reading them their favorite stories. They are just really relaxed and involved in what we are doing. Our girls have most the stories memorized so it is fun to hear them chime in. When I look at these pictures it reminds me how fast time goes by and how every story time, no matter how tired we are, is so very worth it.

Finally We're Here

Well we arrived here just fine or safely anyways I should say. Corrine and Kristofer came to visit us. We had an enjoyable weekend, and they were nice enough to ignore our "just moved in" messes. We decided to venture around our new city. Our first stop was the Temple. Two things made made me feel at home. One was the temple, for all of you members in Dallas you will know what I am talking about. The next was the weather, it was so hot. The nice thing here is, at night it cools way down to almost jacket weather. I could really get used to this. We enjoyed our new ward, it seems to be a good fit, little girls as far as the eye can see. I think my girls will be very happy.

Big Messes

Our home is filled with half unpacked boxes, and stuff waiting around to find a permenant place, and we are living in utter caous at the moment. I decided to post some of our other big messes. The first one is Micah making herself all "pretty" during a suposed naptime. I wear a completely powder make-up line and she managed to dump it all out. She is covered but the worst part of the mess was the comforter and carpet she managed to get covered too.The second is Micah and Sloane playing at least 5 card games at once. It took Jeremy and me a nice chunk of time to sort all cards out. The third picture is Sloane, I can not decipher what she was eating, but I know she got in creases we never realized she had. Just like these messes, the one we live in now will just be a memory. I hope sooner than later.

Broken Camera

Our camera is broken, and it's not even a year old yet. It's frustrating but life is good. For the next few blogs maybe even weeks (I hope not) we will just post old favorites. This is a picture of Sloane (barely 1) and Micah (2). I think it was around Jeremy's graduation, at least that is what I bought the outfits for. Anyways, we are trying our best to get settled in, but it is really hard with three little girls following us around everywhere we go. That's right I said three, Emie scoots quickly behind us. She is my little shadow. I hope it doesn't take us too long before we feel at home here.

We Have Moved!

I am so sad we have finally moved so very far away from my mom and family. On the bright side we get to live by Jeremy's family. It will be good for the girls to get to know the G side as well. This is a picture of me with my sister Danielle and my Grandma Rose ( the readhead) and my Great Aunt Evie. I am gonna miss everyone like crazy and already look forward to visiting them again.

Balloon Pit

When we came home from Texas, we went to put the little girls to bed. The room they had been sleeping in was full of balloons. We had to empty the room so they could go to bed. The balloons filled the family room and the girls had the best time. The dove, ran, and spun in the big mass of balloons. Of all the many toys we have paid for, who knew......
