Miss Me?

I have received a few, uh hum, emails telling me to blog.

I guess I have not been in the right mind to do so. Also it seems time is going by fast and we are staying busy with nothing too interesting to report.

We went up to Idaho to see my niece Alyvia get blessed. While hanging out there, I caught this picture of my niece Kinzley and Emerson.

So sweet! I miss that cute little girl.

Jeremy and I went to another Depeche Mode concert. It was nice to have a night out alone.

Micah is enjoying school, this was her first day of school outfit.

I think Kindergarten is a little boring for her, she is ready for more challenging curriculum.

I can not believe she will be in primary in January.

Sloane had her first Scripture during Primary. She did so well!

I can play a little catch up now that it is turning chilly out. We will not be running around as much, I hope.

Staying Busy

Micah and I went to do some school shopping. I just love having a shopping buddy. She is at a real fun age. Thank goodness for Children's Place or my long skinny legged girl would be pant less.

We having been enjoying all the Summer festivities. I swear here there are fireworks from July 4th til mid August.

Jeremy's office has kind of become a home away from home for us. We spent a good amount of time working. Here he is so excited to have his picture taken.

My favorite part of the entry way is the fountain. It is so relaxing and peaceful.

The girls are quite comfortable here. They usually get babysat by Grandma but occasionally we bring them up to the office. I still have not decorated the office. I can not decide which direction to go yet.
You know your kids have been around the office enough when conversations tend to go like this.

Me: "Emie come here I need you to do this."

Emerson: "I can't I am with a patient."

Last week Micah backed into a cast iron dutch oven with the hot coals still on it. It left a pretty bad burn. I wish kids understood us when we tell them to BE CAREFUL!

Sloane LOVES snakes. I have mentioned it before.

Well Friday she was in heaven getting to pet this big Momma!

Balloon animals are always a plus to any event.

I love this time of year. Fresh garden Vegetables are plentiful. Zucchini and summer squash are multiplying like crazy. I love eating fresh veggies. My favorite garden veggie is tomatoes. I can eat them all day long.

My favorite Summer dinner is a little fried squash and herb pasta.

Yummy goodness.

I like mine almost burnt. Soooo good. Can't forget a side of fresh tomato. Love harvest time.

We get to see family this weekend and are so excited to see Alyvia get blessed.

It is going to be another busy weekend. Hope you all enjoy yours.

Lil' Miss

A few weeks ago I rushed my not so little hiney to Rexburg trying to make it in time for the birth of my newest niece. Well long story short I made it. Although I have given birth myself I have never seen a baby be born, ya know from the other end. I was so excited.

She was perfect. I was tired but not exhausted as I had been other times in the delivery room. Tears filled my eyes as I watched the miracle of birth. A miracle it is indeed!

This is lil' miss Alyvia.

She is precious as can be.

I tried to sneak her home with me, but no such luck.

Last weekend I headed up to Rexburg again. This time to share Alyvia with my girls and to see my Mom.

It was fre-fre-freezing! Well compared to what I am used to for August.

The girls were enamored for a short moment. Then the commercial ended and Spongebob was back on. (hee hee) The trip, I guess, was really for me because I just loved on that sweet baby. My Mom and I headed to Idaho Falls and just had a great time hanging out together. Ahhh... the laughter between Mother and daughter and sisters.....it is the best!

We ran into a family from our old ward in Texas and enjoyed catching up with them. It is always a wonderful surprise to run into friends when you least expect it.

We also ate dinner with this newly wed couple.

My girls call him Uncle Lee and we had fun meeting Angie!

It was nice to be back home and see Jeremy. I do miss my family but we get to see them all in two weeks for the Blessing. Yeah!

Once Upon a Time...

...I used to blog regularly.

I just haven't been in the mood, and have been busy, and have been lazy at times too. My husband is the one who missed my blogging and begged and pleaded wanted me to return to it. So I figured I would start with the Oquirrah Mountain Temple Open House.

(FYI: I may back blog, I may not.)

We had reservations for July 25th, but my Sister had her sweet baby and so we missed our reservation. We tried to get more tickets and the only thing available was for an 8:20 a.m. (A.M.) reservation. We had to get up really early to be dressed, fed and make the hour drive to S. Jordan. We made it there and it was such a beautiful morning so I shouldn't complain too much.

Always trying for a good family shot, but someone always has to look away.

The Temple was just beautiful. I loves the colors they used inside, so warm but calming.

Snacks are the best incentive. Especially for my kids. Being Quiet=Snack! Most of the time it works.

I am glad we went to the Open House.

It was simply wonderful!

I am still here!

Our move went smoothly (I can say that now that it is over!!!). My plane ride with my three little "angels" was perfect. I have been enjoying my family tremendously. Right now I am visiting friends in Dallas. So little time and so much I want to do. I have plenty of pictures, but my time is pulled in other directions. I miss my husband lots and lots and lots. The other night Emie told Jeremy, "I love you Daddy, but I don't know where you are!" I know it is hard on the girls to be away from their dad right now. He is doing great and calls me with exciting business stuff all the time. I am proud of him!!! I have one month with family left, then it is back to reality!

Spirit Week

Micah attends a pre-k program at a baptist private school. I have loved it and would enroll my other girls there too, if we were staying here. She is only in preschool but gets to participate in all the school activities. This week was spirit week, gearing up for the end of the year carnival fundraiser.

Monday was crazy hair day!

Tuesday was nerd day.

(I don't know how I feel about this one. There are so many better options, am I right?)

Wednesday was formal day.

Thursday was career day.

Jeremy left his lab jacket so Micah could be a Chiropractor, but she wanted to be a teacher. Teachers pick out their own attire so I let her do just that.

Friday was school spirit day. I didn't think paying 25 bucks for a school T-shirt that said Centennial Baptist on it was worth it so she just wore blue, but I forgot to take a picture.



The carnival was Friday night. I really did NOT want to go alone to a big crowded area with three little kids all by myself. Especially with one who has a tendency to run away from me. I tried to talk Micah out of going. She was supposed to perform and would not give in to my alternate bribes. I knew they were supposed to dress up like a zoo animal or wear all black. All our winter clothes had been packed and we don't really own animal costumes.



An hour before it is was supposed to start I remembered about this giraffe costume I had bought before she was born and never used, in my garage sale pile. I was out of excuses.

So off we went! I am so glad we did it was a lot of fun.

Playing games and eating junk. That is what a carnival is all about!

Then Sloane saw the pony rides. The line was L.O.N.G. and I did not want to wait an hour for one pony to make each and every kid at the carnival happy. But we did.

Emerson smiled and laughed the whole time.

Sloane went last so she could enjoy her turn and everyone else's turn too.

It was a lot of fun. Maybe flying with all three, by myself, won't be that bad.

This Kitten

I have mostly regretted getting this kitten. She has been a LOT a work, and caused a LOT of problems with our other animals. She has knocked my bird cage over at least ten times. Set the birds free a couple of times. My kids, however, LOVE her! The other animals are mean to my kids, so when we got Kansas they were in heaven. She has never really bit or scratched them. She purrs when they pet her and hold her. I have considered getting rid of her, but she makes my girls so happy. I always walk in to these type of scenes.

She just lets them hold her for as long as they want. She is not the typical grouchy cat.

She thinks Sloane is her Mom. At night I lock her up, but she and Sloane both wish I would let them snuggle all night. During Sloane's nap time they sleep together and I often see Kansas licking/kissing Sloane while she is sleeping. Ugh. Dang cat.

Bye-bye

Over Easter my Sister and her Hubby came to visit us. They were so kind as to clean out all my maternity and baby stuff sitting in my garage. They loaded up their car with most of my baby memories. I am glad they are going to be used once again.

Their car was packed.

I was ready to get rid of it, but as I went through each item I felt a bit sad. I have some special things that I kept in memory boxes like the outfits they came home in. I kept a few pairs of shoes, outfits, even little baby bows that I could not part with yet.

After hours of cleaning and clearing out we treated ourselves a yummy dinner (made by yours truly) and to a treat. I think we are done in the baby department. Nothing is ever certain, but for now we are good!
