A little bit of Spring

I thought little Spring decorating was in order.
I am ready for blue skies and warmer days.
I like Easter, but I am NOT a pink or pastel person. So, I concentrate on Spring more than an Easter theme.

I really like to bring a little bit of nature indoors. So, for Spring I love twigs, moss, nests, and a bit of flowers.

I am really into white this year.
I have never used it before because of my little kids, but they are a lot less messy than they used to be.

I am really loving birds. Again, something I have not always been into.

A minimalist I am not, but I am working on the less can be more look. Believe it or not this is less for me.

I have found some really cute nests. They seem to be trendy right now and are everywhere.

They just fit right in with Easter, don't you think?

A little birdie saying hi!

I really don't use bunnies in my decor. My Mom and Grandma always have. I guess it is rubbing off on me. I couldn't pass up this black and white leaping bunny. It is really hard to admit you are more like your Mom than you think.
No worries the bunny is for Easter only!

I really like these eggs they are my favorite.
The moss eggs were so cute. I had to get them last year.
This year I am on a spending freeze.

More bunnies.
I added a little bow.
You know how I am with girls and bows!

I found these marble eggs at an antique store.
Loved them.
Bought them.
Leave them out year round.
They are a temporary fix for this nest until I finished my egg project for this centerpiece.

This nest is Large.

And finally eggs under glass.
I guess I am a bit obsessed with eggs and nests this year.
They just spell out S-P-R-I-N-G to me.

Micah's Room Re-Do

My Mom and Sister have been asking to see pictures of Micah's room Re-Do.

This room is nothing fancy. But...it is special to one little girl.
I wish I could post pictures of my Sister's daughter's Pottery Barn inspired room. It is darling. I have to learn NOT to covet. Accept that the things I have are perfect the way they are. My daughter LOVES her room. I am so happy about that.
Micah has always been into Disney Princesses. This time she decided she wanted a princess theme, without the characters.

I really need to redo her name on the wall to match the rest of the room, but I am partial to the ones I decorated when she was little. She is growing up too fast.

I decided to do without curtains. One my kids play in them, and two I really enjoy all the natural light that comes in from the windows.

I made ribbon garlands instead of the curtains.

Micah wanted pink, pink, and more pink.

I bought this dresser and a matching side table off Craig's List for $15. In the first picture you can see the finished night stand. I had plans to repaint the dresser and buy some new knobs or handles for it. The weather is not agreeing with me right now so I have to wait.

I saw a lamp similar to this in a boutique and loved it. I really wanted to buy it, but decided I would try to see if I could make it first. I am actually really happy with how it turned out and I spent way less than the boutique price!

Here is a picture of the drawers primed and painted. I am still waiting for warmer weather to finish it up.
The zebra print rug is from Target. I love that store.
I have a craft table in the corner, but now that Micah is learning to read and I want to find a pink reading chair for that corner. I am open to suggestions, but I don't really like butterfly chairs.

I have to throw in this last picture. Sloane did a little decorating of her own.

She rearranged the letters and ripped off most of the embellishments.
That kid has more energy than anyone I have ever met!

It's Just a Little Crush

I do not like to cook or bake.
I would rather clean , organize, and create than cook.
I do LOVE to watch other people cook.
Strange??
Probably!
I love watching the Food Network. I have a favorite Food Network Television Star.
His name is Guy Fieri.

It is no secret I love to eat. Just look at me. I love his show Diner's, Drive In's and Dives. I tell Jeremy when I see a familiar joint on the show. I may have to recommend a few I haven't seen.

The other day Jeremy told me I was getting my anniversary gift early. ( We are not spending mula on gifts this year) He told me to be ready to go at a certain time but gave me no destination. We end up driving a few miles away and pull into a little restaurant. We drive through the small parking lot and pass some cars. He stopped in front of one and asked me if I recognized the car. It was an old red camaro. I am sure it was a special car, but I don't care about cars. Then it all hit me. A diner, a car from my favorite food show. Wahoo!!

It turns out a patient of Jeremy's, works at the diner and gave him a heads up on the place being featured. It was really cool. We said hi to Guy , but I am way to reserved to ask for a picture. Jeremy totally would have but I made him promise not to embarrass me. One of the Waitresses let me go back to the kitchen and watch a part of filming.

So, I have my memory and a photo op with the car.

Thank you Jeremy for the Awesome gift. I really had fun. Most of all I loved sharing it with you!!!

My Nemesis

Why won't it ever go away?!?

With three little princesses to bathe and dress everyday it piles up.
Princesses have to wear dress up on a daily basis too.
Throw two parents in mix.
Don't forget towels and bedding.
I am exhausted thinking about folding each and every item.

HELP!!

Just some fun info. I do about three red/pink loads a week. To think I never liked pink!
